CES 2019 started on January 8, and is in it’s full swing. We got a lot of news prior to CES about various companies making new launches.So just like every other year’s CES where all the companies are eagerly waiting to release their new products or share their latest technological achievement in front of tech journalists, and other media, this year is no different. These products may cost tens of thousands dollars sometimes but is great to see what technological milestones companies nowadays are achieving.
So this year also there are great announcements from tech giants, Here are the few highlights:
- LG unveils 88-inch 8K TV that is a Speaker also:
Sony last year showed a concept to merge screen with speaker i.e. use the screen as speaker itself. LG today announced their version of this tech. They call it Crystal Sound OLED Display. The screen is 88-inch UHD which produces 3.2.2 channel DOLBY Atmos sound without the need of any physical internal or external speaker.
- Samsung’s Micro LED TV:
One of the highlighting thing of first day was Samsung’s Micro LED TV. Every TV manufacturers are trying to make the biggest screens ever, but what about small screen TV’s. Samsung unveiled Micro LED TV which are just small tiles which you can join and adjust to make screen size of your choice. You can move the TV from one room to another, and the screen resolution will adjust according to the tiles you join.
- ASUS ROG Mothership:
These days gaming laptops are the thing. ASUS ROG Mothership is no exception, but it is a desktop and laptop both. With adjustable kickstand for the monitor and detachable keyboard you can use it as a gaming laptop and a desktop too. It comes with Intel core-i9 and upto 64GB RAM, a trio of NVMe M.2 PCI SSD in Raid 0 configuration, a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 GPU with 8GB of VRAM.
- HP unveils AMD powered Chromeboook:
HP unveiled cheaper chromebook with AMD A4 or A6 CPU, with Radeon R4 or R5 GPU. HP’s Chromebook 14 just costs around $269. This cheap chromebook should still give you enough power for everyday work.
